Thanks to Capucine, Iris and Stanford University, our children are enhancing their education with the SMILE app

Used by top schools across the US, the SMILE (Stanford Mobile-Inquiry Learning Environment) app encourages children to expand their learning beyond the classroom. It helps develop critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork skills.

Using SMILE

The app was created by Professor Paul Kim, Chief Technology Officer and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Stanford.

Capucine – a long-time Aishworya supporter – contacted Professor Kim who generously allowed us to use it for free.

In June 2016, Capucine visited Aishworya with her sister, Iris, and Professor Kim’s assistant, Wilson, to get the SMILE system set up at Aishworya. Through fundraising, Capucine was also able to donate 15 tablets!

We’re so grateful. Our children are loving the SMILE app and learning with tablet technology. Homework has never been so much fun!
